How Dr. Jamie Can Help
Chronic conditions can be frustrating.
You don't have to go this alone.
Anxiety
Anxiety disorder manifests itself as a condition where patients experience intense involuntary physiological symptoms such as an overwhelming sense of disaster or death, shortness of breath accompanied by a pain or pressure in the heart/chest area, heart palpitations, dizziness, hot flashes, chills and trembling, numbness or tingling in the extremities such as legs and arms, sweating, nausea, a feeling of being overwhelmed of negative emotions that feels suffocating and unbearable.
Depression
Depression can be more than an emotional consequence of trauma or chronic stress. If you are reading this, you are probably well aware of what depression is. It can be a result of a chemical imbalance in the body, usually a lack of serotonin, which is our happiness hormone. Depression has an affect on the whole body.
Fatigue & Stress
The world can wear us down. Stress and Fatigue creeps in slowly over time. We forget that we cannot control the world, the people around us, how they behave, or the circumstances of our lives. We are in complete control of how we think and react to these situations, no matter how challenging they are.
Allergies
Allergies can wreak havoc on everyday life. Allergies, food intolerances, sinusitis, asthma, and hives can make it unbearable to go outside. You stay in your bubble so you can control what comes in and out. This is completely understandable because otherwise, the result can be extreme.
Auto-Immune
There is a theory that many auto-immune issues can be linked to a debilitated immune system that has been damaged by oxidative stress, pathogens, PH imbalances or stressors that have caused a communication breakdown in how the immune system responds to inflammation. The cell to cell communication between organs and systems within the immune system is broken down , leaving the immune system paralyzed by inactivity or over responding in a specific area or damage to cells.
Digestive Issues
Digestive imbalances lead to a variety of conditions such as gastric reflux, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, Crohn’s disease, constipation, bloating, diverticulitis, gallbladder disorders, liver issues, halitosis, hemorrhoids, malabsorption, and more. The challenge is to determine which areas within the digestive tract are in need of repair, nourishment, and identifying what can be effectively absorbed into a compromised digestive system. Poorly functioning digestive enzymes develop through bad lifestyle choices, smoking, stress and an overload of alcohol and coffee reduce the body’s ability to digest, process and absorb nutrition.
Insomnia
Most of us have had insomnia. When it becomes chronic, it can be go beyond occasionally frustrating to being miserable. It can affect your career, family, friends. It can start the slippery slope to Anxiety, Stress, and Depression. Insomnia is not a traditionally defined disease but a manifestation of a deeper underlying condition. It can be addressed much in the same way a such as depression, anxiety, and stress with some specific modifications to treat specific underlying issues in the mind and body to ensure success.
Skin Conditions
Embarrassment is probably the smallest issue when dealing with Skin Conditions. That’s saying something, and not in a good way. Skin conditions are stressful on the body. The constant itching and inflammation increases is the body’s response, but it is a never ending cycle. The body continues the cycle and there can seem like there is no solution.
Metabolic & Hormone
Metabolic & Hormone conditions can be frustrating to work through. ‘It’s all in your head’ is a typical fall back when nothing can be identified. Hypothyroidism, Adrenal disorders, hypoglycemia are some of the conditions caused by metabolic imbalances in the body. These lead to stress, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Dr. Jamie works with you to understand what is causing the compromised immune system responses.
